Wirescan has entered into a Frame Agreement with Statnett
Wirescan has entered into a Frame Agreement with Statnett, the Norwegian national grid owner, for cable condition assessment and cable fault location on Statnett’s subsea cables.
Wirescan will perform regular condition assessments on the installed cables, and on spare cables during storage and after load-out. In addition Wirescan will perform reference/baseline measurements on new subsea power cables before and after installation, and also support Statnett on fault location on cable breakdowns. VP of Sales in Wirescan, Mr Vidar Bergli says the agreement for 2+1+1 year is a milestone for the company.
Harald Uhlving Hansen, CEO of Wirescan considers the agreement an acknowledgement that the LIRA® Technology from Wirescan provides essential and valuable information for cable condition assessment and risk management. The agreement also serves as an example of how grid owners are now considering Cable Condition Monitoring using the LIRA Technology an important part of their maintenance and risk management strategies.
The services provided by Wirescan will benefit Statnett in managing and controlling cost on their important assets: the critical energy distribution cables.
